Petition for 20MPH in Oxley Park
This is an update on the Oxley Park 20MPH petition that was presented to the council in July 2023. Councillor Lauren Townsend, who is the Cabinet Member for Public Realm and Community Safety, has informed me that the scheme has been scheduled for consultation.
Today, our community came together to support the preservation of Kingsmead Green, a beloved green space in our neighbourhood. People of all ages, including our furry friends from Kingsmead, Oxley, Westcroft, and Tattenhoe, gathered to show their support.
Cllr Shazna Muzammil was happy to present the petition to reduce the speed limit to 20MPH in Oxley Park in council this evening.
A long process is involved, but this will be included in the council’s work programme for 2023/2024.
Here’s hoping this will help reduce speeding in Oxley Park.
Thank y
